what we have achieved with your help

Under the Mango Tree is an initiative of Lavender Ghana, a youth agriculture camp program that focuses on agriculture and its significance in sustaining our life on this earth. We harness hands-on learning activities rich in practical discovery and exploration while focusing on the importance of agriculture in our local and global society. The purpose of our camp is to magnify the relevance and significance of ethical and sustainable food production as they pertain to our day-to-day lives and our future. Engaging our young people in the virtues of equity and humanity as we explore the world of agriculture will ensure a positive and everlasting effect on their relationship with food and human beings.

The Journey

It has been an exciting journey...

Currently, in Ghana, there is no extracurricular educational apparatus specifically using agriculture as an interdisciplinary subject. Under The Mango Tree fills this void. We will use agriculture as the context for involving practical subjects such as biology, chemistry, art, etc., in educating young people. Ghana is a country whose rich history intimately involves agriculture and indigenous food cultivation practices...

Teamwork Makes the Dream Work

Our success can only be attributed to our vibrant team.

Teamwork has been the cornerstone of Under the Mango Tree's success in achieving its goals. Lavender Ghana's initiative has brought together a dedicated team of educators, agricultural experts, and community leaders, all united in their commitment to empowering youth through agriculture. Through collaborative efforts, we've designed hands-on learning activities that seamlessly integrate various subjects, from biology to art, creating a holistic educational experience. By pooling our expertise and resources, we've been able to magnify the relevance of ethical and sustainable food production, bridging the gap between theory and practice. Our collective efforts aim to instill in young people a deep appreciation for agriculture's significance in sustaining life on Earth, fostering a sense of equity and humanity as they engage with the world around them. Together, we're cultivating a generation of informed and empowered individuals ready to make a positive impact on their communities and the planet.
